Kindred: meet someone who fits how you really connect
What We’re Building · 3 min read
Friendship or dating, built around how you communicate across relationships. Here is what Kindred is becoming — and what is not live yet.
A dating or friendship profile is a small piece of self-description. Kindred is being built around a different starting point: how someone actually communicates over time. The goal is one promising introduction, not an endless list of faces to swipe through.
What would a match be based on?
Every relationship report can add to a private communication profile: how you reach out, make room for someone, repair after friction and express care. Kindred is designed to use that derived profile rather than the original chats. It is intended for friendship as well as dating, and a match would be a starting point to explore together, not a guarantee that two people will click.
Why five different relationships?
The planned entry requirement is five different people analysed across romantic, friendship and family relationships. Five exports from the same person would still show only one dynamic. The differences between the roles you inhabit are what can make the matching profile more reliable.
Where it stands today
Kindred is being built. There is no matching pool to browse, no launch date to promise and no waitlist pretending otherwise. You can explore the concept and build your Mirror profile through ordinary analyses now. Joining Kindred will be an explicit choice when it exists; analysing a chat does not opt you in or share its transcript with a future match.
The matching idea uses a derived profile. The original conversations are not shared with other people.
