How to Export Telegram Chat History

Telegram's export tool is fast and clean — but it only exists in the desktop app, not on your phone.

Chat export is only available in Telegram Desktop. It is not available from the Telegram mobile app.

Step 1. Open Telegram Desktop on a computer. If you don't have it, it's a free download from telegram.org.

Step 2. Open the chat you want to analyse.

Step 3. Click the three dots ⋮ at the top of the chat.

Step 4. Click Export chat history.

Step 5. Untick Photos, Videos, and other media types — you only need the text.

Tip: This keeps the file small and avoids uploading anything you don't need to.

Step 6. Choose JSON as the format. HTML also works if JSON isn't available in your version.

Step 7. Click Export and wait for Telegram to save the file to your computer.

Step 8. Upload the exported file to ThirdPerson AI.
